WASHINGTON, D.C., July 29, 2025 – Over a dozen regional and virtual family business and family office meetings, including the next meeting with members of the Congressional Family Business Caucus, are set for the third quarter by Family Enterprise USA and Policy and Taxation Group.

The quarter’s spotlight event is the third and final meeting this year with members of the Congressional Family Business Caucus, slated for Sept. 17 on Capitol Hill.

The theme for this meeting is “Legacy & Longevity – How Congress Can Support the Next Generation of Family Businesses.”

The meeting includes a legislative and political update by experts from Brownstein and Squire Patton Boggs, a “What Now?” presentation from political and communications consultant Dr. Frank Luntz, and a presentation on “Family Business Tax Concerns” by Bobby Stover, Americas Family Enterprise, and Family Office Leader for EY.

Over 12 Events Planned

The third quarter schedule features over 12 events, both live and virtual, with presentations by top Capitol Hill advisors, family-owned business leaders, and family offices. Topics range from the provisions found in the recently passed new tax bill, to Next Generation succession issues, to upcoming legislation affecting family businesses, successful individuals, and family offices.

The remainder of July includes presentations at the FOX Forum in Chicago, July 15, and at the Global Cold Chain Alliance U.S. Policy Forum, in Washington, D.C, on July 22.

In August, live and virtual events include presentations to some 300 attendees at Pest World, August 2, in Savannah, Ga., an Aug. 26 event in Newport Beach, Calif., at the Pacific Club, and hosted by law firm Brown & Streza, and on August 26 a presentation at California State University Family Business Center. The month concludes with virtual presentations with USI and Cincinnati Insurance.

Beside the meeting with Caucus members, the September event slate is highlighted by a Sept. 19 PKFOD in-person presentation luncheon event in New York and is followed by a similar luncheon event in North Carolina hosted by Wake Forest Family Business Center on Sept. 24.

Speakers at the events include Pat Soldano, President, Policy and Taxation Group and Family Enterprise USA, John Gugliada, Director of Engagement for both groups, and tax experts Russ Sullivan, Partner, Brownstein, and Caren Street, Principal, Squire Patton Boggs, both of their respective Washington, D.C., offices.

Soldano and Gugliada will present recent research findings, as well as legislative updates for family businesses, and highlights from the recently passed “One Big Beautiful Bill” tax act.

“We’re excited about the September meeting with members of the Congressional Family Business Caucus and our other third quarter events with our team of experts and family business and office leaders,” said Soldano about the schedule of events. “Family Enterprise USA and Policy and Taxation Group provide a voice in Washington, D.C., and we help educate Congress members and voters on the importance of family businesses in America, the largest private employer and greatest generator of jobs we have.”
